No. These are oil paint sticks, not conventional oil pastels. They develop a surface skin and dry over time; conventional oil pastels remain workable. Remove the skin to expose fresh paint before use.

Yes. Use a damp brush or gradually add water to a small amount of color on your palette to explore softer, watercolor-like effects. Test a small area first.

A firm surface film can form while the paint is stored. Gently remove it to expose fresh paint before drawing. The first-peel artist demonstration shows this preparation step.

Start with a surface prepared for oil painting, such as primed canvas or a suitable primed painting panel. Check your surface manufacturer’s guidance and test water-assisted techniques on a small area first.

Drying time varies with the color, paint thickness and painting conditions. Thicker applications take longer to dry.

Layer colors directly on the surface, mix small amounts on a palette with a painting knife, or use a damp brush for softer passages. Start with small amounts and build gradually.

The Downloads section below provides the manufacturer’s color chart and its original Oil Colour SDS. The chart is a series selection, not an exact packing list; the SDS scope is explained beside the link.
