To prevent the oil paint sticks from drying out during shipping, a thin protective outer seal/skin is formed on the tip. Simply peel, cut, or gently rub off the tip's outer coating on a piece of scrap paper before your first use to reveal the smooth, creamy paint underneath!

Brush selection depends on the level of detail and canvas area:
- Large Brushes (#8 and above / Wash Brushes): Best for broad coverage, backgrounds, and large washes.
